A Duke School education is valued for its impact on the lives of our students. For this to remain true, we must continue to grow and evolve. And for our school and graduates to compete in a future we can only imagine, we must invest in facilities that help them innovate and imagine more.

With 75 years behind us, we must adapt to an ever-changing future.

Our increasingly global and technology-dependent world demands that the next generation of leaders are not only tech-literate but compassionate thinkers, creative problem solvers, and clear communicators. Duke School students are inquiry-driven, socially engaged, and filled with purpose and wonder.

We must offer students an immersive and cutting-edge home for STEAM programming for curricular and extracurricular opportunities to better their experience at school and fulfill our dynamic vision and commitment to our learners.

The makerspaces, studios, and classrooms will create learning spaces that currently do not exist for our students to let them explore their passions and help our school remain current and innovative.

We can imagine more to make their dreams a reality with The Center for IDEAS.

Duke School taught innovation when innovation wasn’t cool. That was bold. In my generation, people were taught reading, writing, and arithmetic on a very disciplined basis. Here, students own their education, and that is compatible with innovation and discovery.
