Parent School Organization
Parents are the backbone of Duke School, serving our community in countless ways and ensuring bright futures for our children. All parents are members of Duke School's Parent School Organization (PSO)!
Duke School's success is largely due to the extraordinary parents who volunteer to support events and programs throughout the school year.
Volunteering, in addition to providing enormous benefits to Duke School, also provides parents with opportunities to be involved in the Duke School community, meet other parents, and get to know the school in new ways. Due to COVID restrictions and regulations, our 2022-23 committee and volunteer opportunities will look a bit different this year. Please stay tuned for more information.

One of our most important committees is Duke School's PSO L.I.F.E. (Learning, Inclusion, Family, Equity & Empowerment) Committee. The L.I.F.E. Committee serve as ambassadors, advocates, and learners to ensure a culturally competent and inclusive Duke School community.
In addition to events (to be announced) in the upcoming school year, we will be holding recurring conversation groups to discuss topics regarding diversity in our community. All parents are welcome and encouraged to join a conversation.

It's a great opportunity for kids to try a triathlon. Even if you don't think they can do it, I'm here to tell you it's completely doable! Can't ride a bike without training wheels? No worries! You can do this triathlon with training wheels! Can't swim a whole lap in the pool? No problem! You can either skip the swim or wear a life vest and pull yourself along on the side! My kid isn't a runner? No hay problemo! They can walk! Participation, trying something new and contributing to our community is the goal!
