The best way to get to know Duke School is to visit and take a tour. We offer monthly Information Sessions throughout the fall and winter. At the Information Session, you will hear our Head of School and Division Director discuss our program, you will also tour the campus and classrooms. If you are interested in attending an Information Session, please fill out an inquiry to reserve a space. If you prefer a personal tour, please fill out an inquiryand contact the Admission Office at (919) 416-9420 for available dates and times.
Thank you and we look forward to meeting you!
The Admission Office will schedule a visit for each student who applies. Visitation procedures vary according to grade level.
Preschool, kindergarten and first grade applicants visit with grade-level teachers for an hour-long session on a Saturday morning. During the session each child will interact with the staff and play with other visitors.
Students applying to second through eighth grade visit with us for an entire day. The Admissions Office will schedule all applicants to spend a day in their current grade level. During the day, the applicant will get to know more about Duke School, while the staff learns more about them through conversations and assessments.
Student visits, which are integral to the admission process, provide the opportunity for interaction with Duke School students and faculty. An applicant’s file will not be considered complete until a visit is completed.

Duke School felt like home from the very first time we visited the campus. We just moved from out of state, but the school community has made us feel like family, and we are truly thrilled to be a part of it.
