Graphic Novel (morning): Have you ever wanted to design your own comic? Campers will learn how to bring stories to life through the medium of pictures. Campers will create their own mini-comics to share with family and friends!

Chess (morning):
Kids have a chance to improve their Chess game in a fun and safe environment. We develop each student’s abilities with targeted concepts for different skill levels.

Fencing (morning and afternoon): Fun and developmentally appropriate activities promoting good technique, tactical skills, focus, confidence, team building and a healthy attitude toward competition. The day camps introduce kids to the sport of fencing. Students will learn to fence and develop an understanding of how fencings strategy, rules, and conduct relate to the history of swordsmanship.

includes $20 equipment rental fee. If you own your own equipment, a $20 refund will be given.

Crafts with a Purpose (Afternoon):
Campers will create traditional items/crafts together as a group and donate them to our larger Durham community. We will learn useful skills such as knitting, soap-making, paper-making, and baking while working together as a community and having lots of fun! We will also learn about the history of these crafts and how people have worked together in the past to make them. All you craft lovers this is the camp for you!

Fashion and More!  (Morning)
: From handbags to dresses to jeans, experience the life of a fashionista. Bring your clothes to camp that need a special trendy touch… start out with sketches and ideas, and then bring your vision to life after learning stitches, sewing techniques, and fabric characteristics. You'll add fabulous pieces to your closet!

Superballs! Silly Putty! and Slime! (Afternoon): Scientists will discover the properties of polymers by creating superballs, silly putty, and slime. Using numerous chemical reactions, campers will construct an old foamy tower, oscillating reactions, and test for acids and bases. Furthermore, the concepts of density will be explored by assembling cartesian divers. Scientists will also investigate the formation of crystals by making various crystals.

Beginning Volleyball (Morning):
Learn the basics of serving, receiving, and passing! Have fun playing games against each other.

Camp Discovery: Construction (morning and afternoon): This is a camp for builders. We will roll up our sleeves and use our useful junk to build anything that your imagination holds!

Build it with Legos: Do you like building? Have you ever tried building a city out of Legos? Have you ever made a wacky structure out of Legos? If you like Legos and and building then this camp is for you!
Age: 6-11 year olds

Lego Robotics: Lego Robotics camp will take campers on a fun and fact filled undersea adventure. Campers will work cooperatively to build and program robots to explore and perform tasks on the ocean floor, including saving a giant squid, avoiding an underwater abyss and retreating from predators. The last day will culminate with an open house when campers can show off their building and programming expertise.
